Type of work
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Honestly, my work stands out because of its quality. I've seen some really good writing, but I've also seen some really bad writing. I have a keen eye and ear for language. If it isn't right, I fix it until it is. I love words! I realize most people are not as fond of them as I am, but I really do enjoy working with them. The best part of my job is that moment when a client sees my work and says, "That's exactly what I wanted." And I get to be a part of so many businesses through my clients that I learn something new every single day.

I have sent Paula my payment in full and my work for proofreading. She let me know that she had received it. And it was it. I never heard from her ever again. Kate Reznikov

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing system isn't really complicated, but there are certain factors that go into it. For instance, do you want me to edit for typos and grammar or are you looking for suggestions on how to make the writing flow better? Those are two different aspects to editing/proofreading. Also, I encourage you to provide a small sample of your writing when inquiring of my services so that I can get a feel for your particular style and how much editing might need to be done.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I take writing classes frequently in an effort to familiarize myself with the different styles out there. If I can't write it, or at least understand how it should be written, then I don't feel qualified to edit other people's work or offer advice on making changes.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Budget is always a concern when looking to hire service providers; however, the old adage "you get what you pay for" often applies when budget is the deciding factor. The most important thing to consider when choosing a provider is the quality of work. Anyone can offer services at basement prices, but not everyone provides the end product you expect. Find a balance between your budget and your expectations.
