About
It is my goal to leave a nation-wide legacy of individuals who have reached their piano playing goals. All ages are welcome and my priority is ensuring lessons are inspiring and rewarding to all. Students work toward their personal goals and receive awards for accomplishments. It's a great experience!
I have a degree in music. I am an award winning pianist and organist. I've enjoyed playing professionally since I was 12. I teach students to reach their full capacity. Music Is who I am. I love inspiring all the gifts that playing the piano can bring to your life!
I teach online lessons only, which is extremely easy for me to do because I have perfect pitch. I teach on FaceTime, Google Meet or Skype, and I do give discounts when 2 or more sign up. Lessons are specifically contoured to each individual student. It’s fantastic and you will feel like I’m right in the room with you.
My patience is as big as my talent, therefore I’ve had the opportunity to work with many students with challenges, from blind, to dyslexia, down’s syndrome, adhd, and many many other challenges. I can teach and do teach piano to anyone with the desire to learn.
Please ******* to set up your first free trial lesson. I’m so looking forward to meeting you!

Michelle has been such an encouragement to me as I start at age 65 to play the piano! My husband has a masters in church music and as he listened to me on my lesson last night, he really firmed all that Michel was teaching me. My daughter, after hearing me practice asked me how long I have been taking lessons. When I told her I’d had three lessons she told me she thought I had been taking for months and then I sounded really terrific. I’m not sure about that but I really enjoy the lessons and feel like I’m getting more and more confident that I will be able to play some songs at Christmas, which were it was my goal. I highly recommend Michel.

Michelle is an incredible piano teacher. She makes learning so easy to understand, no matter your level, and her teaching style is both patient and encouraging. What I really appreciate is how many helpful tips and little tidbits she shares throughout each lesson, things that really help everything click. She breaks things down in a way that makes learning piano feel natural and fun. I always leave our lessons feeling more confident and excited to keep practicing. If you’re looking for a teacher who truly cares and knows how to teach effectively, Michelle is the one!

I have been taking lessons from Michele for about 2 months and have been very happy. I have a pretty solid background in music and took piano for a couple years as a little girl, but did not keep up with much of the finger work and sight reading techniques. She has done a great job of going at a pace that matches my ability. We have done a lot of lesson book work, but she is making it a point to help me work on the music I want to play now that I have been getting better and better. She is super flexible with my changing work schedule, and I have found it very relaxing and enjoyable to practice regularly. She has been very kind and encouraging. I have no plans of stopping lessons any time soon!

Michele is VERY friendly and made my kids feel completely at ease and comfortable despite being very shy. My daughter has learned more in a few months of working with Michele than in a year with her previous teacher. She has made playing piano fun for my 15 year old again instead of a chore. I find my daughter practicing for hours now because the passion has returned. Thank you!!

I love Michele! Punctual, responsive to your goals and the pieces of music you’d love to learn. She has a perfect pitch ear and gently coaches you with humor and joy. It is a joy to have her as my piano teacher for 2 1/2 years now. I went from zero to playing pieces I love. She is worth way more than she charges.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Payment is due in full for the entire month by the 7th of the month. There are no refunds. You are paying for that time slot each week. Cancellations of 24 hours notice will have a makeup lesson scheduled if possible.
I accept cash, check, credit card/debit card, Paypal, Venmo, Zelle, you name it.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We discuss your goals. After an initial assessment I recommend which lesson book(s) we will be working from, and why. After a short time of lessons I work as a team with each student helping them collect a “repertoire notebook” of music that they desire to learn. I find the music at the level the student is currently at and as they progress, the music they choose becomes more challenging. This “repertoire notebook” inspires students to study and practice more. If they choose they can participate in our ongoing virtual recital on UTube. I pace myself to each persons rate of learning. I explain music relative to each student, including music theory in every lesson. I answer all questions and assign homework and practice pages. Technique and theory are all balanced to insure a well rounded music education and success.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in music. I have practiced daily since I was 7. I attend music symposium's, concerts and musicals. I play the piano and organ in church every Sunday. I accompany the church choir. I still continue to perform at least 5-6 times a year.
