FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For the "Smart Tech" side of the business I have individual pricing for various jobs. That's mostly because of my skill level they only take me from 10-15 minutes in most cases. For the "Handyman" side of the business I have a service call fee that includes travel, setup, and the first hour of work. This is the structure I use for most small projects, (1-2 hours).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to show up early, (or God forbid on time), and get my materials and tools picked and staged so that I'm not only AT YOUR LOCATION on time, but I'm ready to go on time. I like to talk to my customers, figure out what they truly need, instead of just what they want. If I can suggest a lower cost solution or even tell them how to get the work done for free I'll do that. Money isn't by bottom line, fixing your pain-points, is the primary reason that I love this job.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have written software for camera systems, controlled access systems, and IOT (Internet of Things). I liked the challenge of the software aspect but now with AI getting faster, smarter, and more powerful, I'm switching to the hardware side of things.
