- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We believe in transparent, upfront pricing—no surprises. There is a service/diagnostic fee to have one of our licensed technicians come out, thoroughly assess the issue, and provide professional recommendations. Once we diagnose the problem, we’ll walk you through your options with clear, upfront pricing before any work begins. We don’t offer price matching, because we focus on doing the job the right way—with high-quality materials, work performed to code, and strong warranties to back it up. Our goal is long-term solutions, not quick fixes. We do offer savings through our membership program, which includes routine maintenance, priority service, and discounts on repairs—helping homeowners save money and avoid unexpected breakdowns over time. At the end of the day, you’re not just paying for a repair—you’re investing in peace of mind.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At Althoff Home Services, we make the process simple and stress-free—because that’s exactly what you should expect. It starts with a quick conversation to understand what’s going on in your home. From there, we schedule a convenient time for one of our licensed technicians to come out, diagnose the issue, and walk you through your options. We believe in clear, upfront communication—no surprises, no pressure. You’ll receive straightforward pricing and recommendations, and once you’re comfortable, we get to work. After the job is complete, we make sure everything is functioning exactly as it should and answer any remaining questions. Our goal is simple: fix the problem the right way, the first time—so you can hand it off to Althoff and not think about it again.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our technicians are highly trained, licensed professionals with ongoing education in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Many of our team members are NATE-certified and regularly participate in continuing education to stay current with evolving technology, codes, and best practices.
