The astrological birth chart represents in its entirety the person that was born under its influence by correspondence. Each moment is a unique birth moment of some sort, and just as the birth time of a person symbolizes their life potential energy, so too a marriage, a job interview, a conception, or first date can be imprinted by a birth chart of its own.
Yet even though the entirety of the chart symbolizes the person, we all have traits we tend to identify with and some that we try to suppress, deny or project. This works very much like a corporate company outsourcing its customer service department to another country because it benefits its bottom line. We, too, outsource our archetype planetary energies onto others in our life. For example, we can live out our own Mars principle by being an athlete, fighter, runner or leader, but can just as easily give our power away by attracting an athletic spouse, or keep ending up with angry roommates who want to pick fights with us.
The universal principle at play here is that if we choose consciously or unconsciously not to live out part of our own energetic framework, it creates an unused potential of energy that acts like a void. That energy doesn't just vanish. The universal principle doesn't like voids and immediately fills it with an external version of that energy that gets imported into our life.
Another example to illustrate my point: A person works at a job he doesn't like at all and feels lost and stuck in a rut, yet he doesn't look for another job and is fearful of the need to change his current situation. Unconsciously then, as the tension of discontent builds, something happens at work that causes him to get fired, or he get into a car accident on his way to work. The outer forces are again at work here, imposing an abrupt change by disrupting the person's normal routine. Now, he is forced to look for a new job, whether he wants to or not.
So, the choice is always there; own the energy internally or allow it to manifest externally and risk loss of control as events happen to us as fate versus us being the driving force in executing our free will.
By understanding your own energetic configuration, you can reflect and see where you are taking ownership of the energy or outsourcing it. While energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can be transformed. By transforming your inner awareness of yourself, it is possible to shift your outer reality.
