Bonjour! I’m Marie, a native bilingual French and English speaker, professional French educator, author, and creator of Learn French with Marie.
I have been teaching French since 2002 and have helped hundreds of students build the confidence to actually use French in real life, not simply memorize vocabulary and grammar rules.
I specialize exclusively in French and offer high-quality private French lessons, tutoring, conversation coaching, pronunciation and accent work, academic support, and French-English translation.
What makes my teaching different is the combination of native-level language, extensive teaching experience, and a carefully developed curriculum. I grew up speaking both French and English, so I can explain not only what is correct in French, but why French speakers say things the way they do, how pronunciation really sounds, and how to avoid the unnatural textbook French that immediately identifies a learner.
My students include complete beginners, returning learners, travelers, adults learning French for relationships or relocation, bilingual families, middle and high school students, college students, and advanced speakers who want to refine their pronunciation or fluency.
I am also the creator of the Learn French with Marie podcast, the Marie en France French-learning book series, and the Learn French with Marie online learning community.
