About
I have been teaching martial arts for over 25 years, The founder of Aikido believed that the body had to learn before the mind. I love being involved in that process, watching as the student's body teaches their mind appropriate movements.
I believe that every student is unique, there is a zen saying "ichi-elchi-go" one meeting one chance. In a private lesson situation every class will only happen once. It is my job to make it memorable.

I have been training in Aikido for 14 years and with Scott Berg for about 8 years. He is one of the best instructors in the bay area. My Aikido has greatly improved under his instruction.

I really enjoy Sensei Berg's approach to the study of aikido. Most importantly, the quality of the students is very good, so there are many excellent training partners.

I've known and trained with Scott for nearly forty years. Scott is an exceptionally capable Aikidoist and Aikido teacher, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience from many different teachers and styles. He is attentive, perceptive and aware of the qualities of each of his students and helps them develop along their own unique paths. And, he is fun to train with!
