I could go on and on about how wonderful and talented Jeff is. I am a singer and he has done jobs for me that range from simple to incredibly (to me!) complex. Putting existing songs in different keys, notating/transcribing a song with accompaniment from only an audio/CD (four selections were Chinese Mandarin pop songs), writing obbligato lines for existing pieces, writing a full piano part to a melody line, and doing it all efficiently, economically and creatively. He can original write music in any style, and it's all beautiful. And he's a really nice guy! I worked with Jeff in the Desert Carolers quartets. He was an excellent mentor and one of my favorite colleagues.

I have worked with Jeff Moore a number of times over the years. I like to use live instrumental accompaniment for traditional congregational hymns. Jeff has provided arrangements, orchestration, and parts. His arrangements are always creative, original, and clever. He is particularly adept at innovative introductions and transitions which give the old hymns new life and working in updated harmonizations to provide a more "modern" sound. I give him a rough outline of what I want and give him a free hand do his thing. The arrangements have been mainly for brass and strings. After the parts and score are delivered he is always willing to make changes if needed. His work is done in a timely manner and the price is right. I gladly recommend Jeff. Try him.

Jeff is exceptional in his ability to do take-downs and transcriptions as well as choral and instrumental arranging. He is fast and accurate. He did several projects for me at Magnolia Church in Riverside and we were completely satisfied. He is also an excellent vocal coach as well as experienced session singer.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My arrangement/composing pricing is easy to understand if you are a music reader. It is based on the number of staves and measures for the piece and whether I am arranging or composing new music for hire. Large projects such as complete shows are individually quoted according to the scope of the project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Voice. I have a masters degree in Church Music with an emphasis in composition. I am a published composer, arranger, and orchestrator. I have written music for corporate video, stage theater, and school choral and instrumental ensembles. I have created music recordings for performance tracks and for custom recordings. I have sung as a professional singer for many recording sessions and live performances for such companies as Disney and Word Music.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began orchestrating and arranging while in college and have been doing it for a living for over thirty years.
