Introduction: I know printing. I have a degree in Graphic Communication with a concentration in Design Reproduction. I worked in the printing industry over 10 years and have experience with offset, large format, screen printing and fine art and photo giclee printing. I know how to design and format the technical stuff so your designs always look great not matter what your printing on. The best thing that happens in my job is when a client tells me my design helped them in some way. It may be getting more business from a new sign, or just making their business card a stand-out. For myself, the creativity keeps my brain engaged, yet relaxed.

Kris is AMAZING! When I needed a concept and design for my musical group, Kris visualized it immediatley, and was able to 'paint a picture' of it over the phone... the 1st proof was Perfect! I still use her graphic for both hard copy and my website today! One call and she gets it done... no hesitations, excellent results

Kris has the ability to morph her design style to whatever is needed. She quickly adopted our graphic standards and worked within them without issue. In fact, at one point, I tasked her with designing a full-page, color newspaper ad in less than four hours. She produced it quickly, incorporated our specified changes, and had it out the door to the printer under deadline. The great part was that she relished the challenge.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly observing new design trends and subscribe to several blogs and newsletters about graphic design. I also participate in several design forums and groups.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a creative side. I never got the hang of drawing, but today's amazing graphic design software allows me to produce the artwork I always dreamed of being able to do. When I discovered the capabilities of programs like Photoshop and Illustrator I knew I could produce beautiful and effective artwork on a professional basis.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Business cards are by far the most common work I do. Business cards are way more important that you think. There are really cool special effects available in today's business card printing market. Spend a little extra money and make a statement.
