Our house in Corona was built around 1988 - 1990, and so our Circuit Breaker Panel was about 25+ years old and the switches were getting bad, and many of the handymen and servicemen that came to install our appliances or fix some electrical issues recommended that we look into upgrading our circuit panel. We knew that would cost us around $2K. Few months ago we decided to go ahead with this upgrade. We looked at different electricians in the area and some through Thumbtack, Tim was one of the five guys that gave us a quote here. We gave Tim a call and he came over our house to look at our system and gave us step by step details on what he would do to replace the circuit breaker, how much time it would take, what kind of licenses needed by the city, etc. His price quote was higher than most other estimates by other guys, but still was lower than $2K. We decided to go with him since he seemed very professional and knows what he is doing (we wanted this project to be done right from the first time), and was willing to work around our own schedule as we were doing other home improvement projects. We agreed to a certain day, and Tim went ahead and bought all the necessary parts for this task (which were covered by the price he gave us from the start and there were no changes). Tim contacted our electric company to get approval to turn off power on the day of so he can do his work/upgrade, and the company would turn the power back on the same day after the work was done.
Tim arrived on time the day of the work, 7 AM, took about an hour to prepare the materials and make an opening on outside wall around where the old breaker panel was located (since the new 200 Amps panel would be much larger in size). Power went off the house at around 8 AM, by 12 or 12:30 PM all work was done and the power came back on. Tim originally estimated work time would be between 4 - 6.5 hours, our upgrade was easy and quick and so was on the lower end of the estimated time. We had to wait though until around 2 or 2:30 PM for the city inspector to come by and approve the work and issue us a license, but that was outside Tim's control since the inspectors don't give you an exact time but rather a window time frame when they would be in your area. Overall we are very happy with this upgrade, it’s been 3 months since, and everything is working nicely. After this project was over, we had to bring a handyman who would close up the stucco wall around the new breaker panel since a larger opening was needed to access the wires and Tim informed us about that from the very beginning.
In the past few months we have brought Tim over to fix a couple other electrical issues around our house since we like his professional work and reasonable pricing and we are always happy with his finished work. We highly recommend using Tim (Electrical Connection) for your next electrical project/fix :)

The job was anything but routine: install new, quieter fans in two bathrooms and upgrade switches in those bathrooms so fans and lights can be controlled separately. Tim was prompt and presented more than one option for us to consider to accomplish the goals. We appreciated access to Tim via email, and once we had decided on a solution, he arrived at a predetermined time. Awesome! Right on time! He understood exactly what I needed and picked up all the supplies for me, including the light bulbs! Cleaned up after himself...and my dogs loved him and they are excellent judges of character. I will recommend him to anyone!
