MackDaddy Industries has been in business since 2017, taken over for KJ Tree Service as the family business. We have been running haulaway jobs for the last 20 years and wish to continue to do so. As the owner, Mackenzie Jernigan, my goal is to make life a little easier for my customers. Rather than looking at the same old couch everyday, we can come in and haul that away for you so you may make an interior change for your home. This example goes all the way into a cluttered home and to a full yard of scrap. We are here to give you a brighter look on your everyday life. Hired on Thumbtack

The first time I've used Thumbtack. Macdaddy Hauling responded right away which was great. MacKenzie is awesome to work with. The job was done somewhat on time. The turn here is the communication was just off as far as what pictures I provided compared to the helper thought. The initial quote $250 ended up $400. I wish that would of been honored. I felt a little bit of bait/switch. While I supplied pictures and not all of them but I called to disclose them instead. Wife was bothered with the change in price. Still a price increase. Will I use Macdaddy or refer them again? Not sure....

Thank you so much Andrew. In response to the price increase, we had went over the pictures without knowledge of the many trash bags and entire mobile home clearout. The price was reflective of this. Upon originally quoting on one trailer load to then being placed with two truck loads and a trailer load, we had to adjust for the increase of items. I do hope you use Thumbtack in the future, whether that be with me or another company. Thank you for the business.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When requesting quotes, know that we are doing everything in our power to fight inflation. However, our guys still need to be paid and our trucks still need to be fueled.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I go through everything they wish to remove or service and ask if that is all they need. If anything needs to be added, I always advise to get rid of it while we are there. Otherwise, any other items to be removed later, will eventually have to be removed by the client. That is unless they would like to have me back.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As the business owner, I have thrived in developing a charismatic and empathic approach to our clientele. I am ready and available to address all questions and concerns at any given time. I am also currently in college continuing my goals in medicine while I run the business.
