Introduction: I have been teaching guitar now for 10 years. I am a fully credentialed music teacher in the State of California and teach guitar at Benton Middle School and La Mirada High School during the regular school year for NLMUSD. I enjoy giving private guitar lessons during my time off in the summer. I make lessons meaningful to what students want to learn. Lessons are tailored to students technical ability and musical goals. Lessons are fun and students feel successful.

Nick Montalvo has been my son's guitar teacher at Arts Development School of Music for over a year now. I was surprised on how quickly he learned from Nick in the first few months of lessons and I am satisfied with his progress. Nick encourages my son to explore his own style without neglecting the fundamentals of guitar playing. Nick is very astute, knowledgeable, friendly and professional which makes him an effective teacher to learners of all ages.

Nick is an awesome music teacher!!! He is a true professional. He is teaching me how to play guitar and I am so happy he is my guitar teacher. As a teacher you must be patient with your students and understand that sometimes it takes time for someone to learn something new. He is kind, friendly, hard working and passionate about music! Nick is awesome!!

Nick is a very talented musician and an excellent teacher. I would personally recommend Nick as a teacher and as a musician. Nick is passionate about music and teaching and exemplifies this in both roles and I highly recommend him.

I have had nothing but great experiences with Nick's guitar lessons. My son has been with Nick for almost a year and has made great strides with his guitar playing. Nick is very courteous, professional and makes learning easy. My son, Klaus, has improved in both reading and playing music. I would strongly recommend Nick if you want to learn in a fun and positive environment.

Nicolas was absolutely Great. Nothing short of professional but most of all Patient. If you are reading this and would like a Very cool, laid back, and On time type of teacher, Nick is the way to go. Cant beat the price he charges and for the energy he brings, it makes one want to be taught more. Today was our first lesson and I have already booked him again for the next few weeks. Going with Nick here is not a Sacrifice but an Investment. I like this guy, his energy, and skill. I never really write reviews, but this one I had to. If you are looking for a teacher, look no further.
