I hired the Mendoza team for TWO projects and I'm thrilled with the work on both.
1st project was to insulate an exterior room; sheetrock, electrical, & flooring
2nd project was fencing; remove, replace including entry door.

I asked Virgilio to replace an 800 sq. ft. Trex deck for me after he and his crew had replaced some fence posts and a retaining wall for me to my satisfaction. We worked together to determine the optimum plank pattern so that we could order just enough material. There were some tricky bits, since the very long hand rail could not be easily removed. Virgilio and I came up with a satisfactory plank layout that fit the constraints of the original deck design. The work took longer than originally estimated because the deck used the Trex "floating" mount system which is more time intensive than simply nailing the planks to the deck frame. This ended up looking great (much better than the original) and despite the under-estimate the deck work was completed within a week. Overall, Virgilio and crew completed the work well at a very reasonable cost. The work area was left clean and free of debris after the job was completed. I would not hesitate to ask Virgilio to replace a deck or retaining wall again, if needed.

I contacted Lorenzo & Virgilio, and Virgilio came to see my deck in the backyard. He offered me a good affordable price so I hired him.He did such a great work on my project. He is also experienced in any type of work.I totally recommend working with him! I also recommended him to my close friends because he showed me that he is a trustworthy person to work on this type of project.

Virgilio has completed 7 projects for us in both wood and cement...including fences, gates, railings, decking, retaining walls and stairs. Every project required demolishing old structures, then joining the new work to the existing structures, so I have been able to observe many aspects of his work and am very comfortable giving him a high recommendation. His strengths are in planning and scheduling, workmanship and attention to details plus communication and managing a crew. Virgilio is a good problem solver and takes particular pride in making the projects sturdy for the long haul and safe. He makes suggestions thoughtfully but pays attention to my wishes. His crew really respects him and follows his lead, working steadily when he is occasionally not on site. He is accurate in determining material needs, starts promptly every day and his set-up and clean-up are the best I've seen. The crew and he work extra long days if needed to meet the estimated schedule and his communication along the way is especially good. I am very proud when I look at the completed projects and have passed my recommendations on to friends. Virgilio is always trying to improve himself with new training even though he is quite skilled...plus his manner is so cordial and warm. I will definitely be calling on him for my next project in the new year.
