Having no background in singing at all, Juan worked with me to develop more confidence in singing by teaching me fundamental technique. Each 60-minute lesson started with a warm-up, then we moved on to drills before wrapping up by practicing songs that I chose or Juan recommended. One thing that Juan does well in particular is teaching by feeling; rather than telling you how something is supposed to sound, he emphasizes learning what having correct technique feels like and asks you to remember and call on that technique whenever you are singing. Would recommend.Aug 26, 2019Verified
Super helpful in finding my voice and finding ways to explain concepts in a way that was easy for me to understand since I had no prior voice lessons or experience. Also, he is flexible in his schedule so it was easy to find a time for thre lesson that would work for me. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to improve their singing ability.Aug 4, 2018Verified
I have had four lessons with Juan Carlos Zepeda, with sessions divided into voice lessons and music skills (intervals, timing, etc.). Juan Carlos has a way of demystifying how the voice works (head and chest voice, placement, etc.). Each session clears something away and my understanding of the mechanics of it all is increasing. Juan Carlos has a beautiful singing voice, plays piano, and is both very kind and approachable. I highly recommend him.Aug 16, 2018Verified
If you're on the fence about anyone, stop thinking and just choose Juan. In just two lessons I already feel so much more confident in my voice! I will definitely be coming back for more lessons with Juan.Aug 22, 2019Verified
Very communicative and flexible in setting up lessons, and was a very productive hour long lesson. Helped me better understand how to use my own voice and very patient in helping me from basics to accompanying me with piano.Jun 29, 2019Verified
