FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates are on an hourly basis. Most jobs are pretty streight foreward. Biggest issues arise when a customer thinks the job is a simple one. Often when job requires additional work such as fixing a hole in wall or when to remove a piece of molding may tear the sheetrock paper that it was formelly glued to. Then an estimate will be given to the customer.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, getting to know the customer is important but even more important is communicating exactly what the customer wants done. This eliminates 95% of the issues that may arise and the customer gets what they want done.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of my training has been on the job with excellent mentors. At Sears, in the Air Force, more specialized systems training, and most recently with a major closet remodeling company. I’ve also done a lot of home remodeling on my residences. Not actually flipping them but spent years upgrading them selling a nice profit.
