I have been told on many occasions that wedding photographers, or any photographer for that matter, have very stressful jobs, and that I’m crazy for choosing to be stressed. I completely disagree...
And I’m going to explain why-
The many hours of editing, the long nights and early mornings of preparing for your big day, my tired eyes and sore muscles, making your day as memorable as possible, I love everything about it!
My job is not to be your photographer, my job is to create memories that last forever, my job is to show up early and stay late so I can get the best possible result. I love every part of what I do, from the first text message to the last goodbye, all the way through our lasting friendships that we will make, I’m there through it all. I will be there through your hardest times, your happiest times, the times when maybe your day didn’t go as planned, but you love the photos anyways because they bring back the best memories from that day, they bring laughter because someone blinked, or your whole family couldn’t make it, but they were still able to enjoy it, or they may even bring happy tears because you didn’t realize I got that perfect shot!
So sure, it can stressful, but if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life, and in all my 22 years of living, I do not consider my job “work”. It’s part of me!
