First and foremost I would like to say that I rarely write a review but when I do its because the company or individual gave EXCEPTIONAL service! I also do extensive amount of research before I buy a product or service. Which leads me to say Marlon Licup is a PHENOMENAL trainer. From the first time I made contact with him thru "Thumbtack" he was very timley with his responses. He basically stood out from the rest of the trainers that came to me giving me their quotes. When I spoke to him on the phone he answered all my questions, even gave me tips and advice before I had contacted his services. Once training with him some of his methods seemed a little unusual but they helped me become much stronger. He is very motivating and pushes you beyond your limits- but trust me you will survive. After his 18+ years of experience being a personal trainer he knows what peoples body can take, and he genuinely cares for your success. He goes the extra mile for your success! For example I was trying to cut off at least 8 seconds off my run thru an obstacle course that I could not for the life of me shave off. After reading all the advice you can imagine possibly get off the internet and training on my own for 3 months, I decided to seek professional help. The course for San Diego Police Department consisted of a long obsticle course including dragging a simulated victim 30 feet. Not only did Marlon drive up 20+ minutes to the course I would be training on but he had me drag him! (The only time the dummy is out there for you to train with is Thursdays at 1pm) ....Now THAT'S committment to your client!!!! Furthermore, he was there on my test day (which he didn't have to be) encouraging, me giving me positive words, and keeping me relaxed till they called my name to run the course. While running it he was right there with me encouraging me with positive words and tips on what to do. And once I finished I had shaved down 11-12 seconds off my time! And Marlon did it in less than 3 weeks!!!! Overall I would without a doubt recommend Marlon Licup as a personal trainer...HANDS DOWN the BEST, most DEDICATED, WHOLE HEARTED, EXPECTACULAR trainer!

The trainer does a very good job: there is no time for rest, you are doing exercises all the time! The exercises themselves are very energy consuming and useful for the whole body. And the trainer himself is a very positive person, working with him is real joy and pleasure! I'm glad I found him:)

    I loved to work out and a trainer to told me to make a living at it so I did! 18years later I am still loving what I do! Very rewarding!!

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    The most common job i get are clients that are looking to lose weight. Weight loss is the most common client I have because their is a lot of obesity now a days with all the processed food being sold in stores. We don't realize it but most of the processed food in our super markets is the cause of our bodies having a slow metabolism, obesity, and even cancer. My goal for my weight loss clients is to get clients informed of the kinds of foods they should eat to lose the weight and what kind of foods to stay away from. Knowledge is power.
