Dennis Clancy Restoring recently refinished an antique Eastlake Victorian cradle for me and did a gorgeous job! Thank you, Dennis!!! I was loaning the cradle to my brother and his wife for their newborn and wanted it to be next to perfect. I entrusted that important task to Dennis and he exceeded my expectations. The piece is solid maple with side panels and accents that needed a faux burl finish which is not easy, but Dennis made it look like real burl. In fact, my brother who is no stranger to fine antiques, thought it was real burl until I informed him it was faux! Incredible work, Dennis!!! Dennis, also, showed his resourcefulness in crafting a handmade device that matched the finish to prevent the cradle from rocking as there was no locking mechanism. As always, he strengthened the piece without showing any evidence of having done so. Dennis has a unique talent and has been very successful in combining furniture refinishing with his art background and extensive knowledge of paints and painting. In other words, a true craftsmen and artist all rolled into one! He is very good at listening to what you want, advising you with his expertise, and compromising on a solution. Dennis takes great care to find a balance between reviving your antique to meet today's living standards and maintaining it's character as to not erase it's history. Dennis Clancy Restoring has refinished or restored several antique pieces for me including: a bookcase, cedar chest, four-post bed, and dining, coffee, and game tables. He has done an excellent job on everything and I highly recommend him.

Dennis refinished sevem pieces of furniture for me: my dining room table and five chairs and a living room chair. Plus he put together and refinished an antique chair that was falling apart. He did an outstanding job on all of the pieces and was great to work with. I would highly recommend.

Dennis has restored 19th c. English and American antiques for me, and has beautifully painted various pieces of wood furniture. He has also custom stained an entire newly-installed, modern oak kitchen for my sister - everything was done to the highest standard. Dennis is also a wonderful faux-finisher. He can also restore AND repair antiques while preserving the original finish. I recommend him highly!

Refinished three pieces of furniture. Took traditional pine pieces and providing an updated color stains for more contemporary look. Was able to provide several different stain options before we settled on three different stains for each piece. Done in a timely fashion, high quality and very reasonable cost. Full service pick up and delivery, too.

This bed was delivered in really bad shape and at one point I was almost ready to trash it, but thankfully (after extensive research online) I came across Dennis Clancy Restorations located in Buellton. Simply put, the job this guy did was above and BEYOND all expectations I realistically had at the time. I highly recommend this guy to anyone looking for furniture restoration services in the future.
