About
👋 Hi! I'm Arnav, your chess instructor. I currently teach chess at various after-school programs, summer camps, and private lessons both in and out of the city. I love working with students of all ages! 🎉
Some of my major accomplishments include drawing with a Candidate Master ♟️ and securing a top spot in the Scholastic State Championship 🏅 just last year.
Here’s the Structured Process we follow to help our students improve:
🔍 Personalized Weakness Identification: We dive deep into each student’s specific weaknesses and work on them thoroughly.
💡 Tailored Approach: I strongly believe that focusing on individual weaknesses and fixing them is the most effective way to excel as a professional chess player.
📚 Customized Lessons: We design lessons based on your unique needs, ensuring you're always improving.
👁️ Improving Key Skills: We focus on enhancing visibility (to better analyze situations), calculations, strategies, openings, and variations.
🏆 Tournament Preparation: We help guide and prepare our students for chess tournaments, making sure they’re ready to compete.
Thank you, and I look forward to spreading my knowledge of chess with you! ♟️😊

AK is very professional and patient. My son is just starting out, and AK has been incredibly supportive. He first focused on one basic strategy at each lesson. Then he helped my son practice these strategies in games. AK provides homework and valuable comments with each lesson, which have greatly contributed to my son's progress. We feel happy to have AK as the coach.

Responsiveness and work quality should be in there ask well! Arnav worked so well with my son, who I was pushing back into chess before getting to highschool. We had some scheduling issues on our end, Arnav worked with us and was very flexible. Obvious knowledge and love of the game as well as a great teacher. I will definitely recommend to my friends and son’s friends interested in learning chess.
