FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The standard rate is $55 per hour. It leaves me at a competitive range while most graphic artists work at a $70+ average. My rate is also negotiable depending on the type of work I'm doing. All monetary transactions are preferably done through PayPal. While storyboards can be at a flatware or per panel, Illustrations and logos tend to lean more toward the hourly charge. If the product is on an ASAP time table, prices may vary. However, clients are generally pleased with the fast turnaround and professional quality and communication.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, the average customer will correspond with me via email or phone. After communicating their idea, I then go to work on rough sketches to provide some foundation whereas the client can see a draft of the idea and where it is going for further visualization and production. I then give them an estimate of the time and price (the average being $55 an hour, however depending on the project it can be negotiated), and if it is suitable, I begin work the next day, showing them watermarked images as I illustrate until final production. When all is complete, I send an invoice through email where the client can then pay using PayPal, and once the money is processed (2-5 minutes), I then send the final product minus the watermark via email.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken professional art classes since I was eleven. At eighteen, I received a presidential scholarship for art production and went on to lean graphic design at the University of Southern Mississippi.
