FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I understand everyone has a budget, and I do my best to accommodate them. My fee includes all supplies for face painting, and glitter tattoos, any time that is needed for research of any special designs they request, along with the time I would require for set-up and clean-up. My price also includes travel time up to 30 minutes each way. Professional face paint and supplies are far more expensive than the stuff you’d find in local stores, which is what determines our pricing. If ever you find a face painter charging less than $100 an hour, I can guarantee they are not using professional supplies. You are really taking your chances with hiring a “bargain face painter”. These cheap supplies that they use and that you find in local stores have caused many children to have rashes or burns. Also, remember that the glitter you find in local stores is made out of metal. Imagine getting metal in your eye. Professional supplies are makeup grade, FDA approved for skin, and made with all natural ingredients. Believe it or not, many bargain face painters also use acrylic craft paints. 🙄 Also, know that professional face painters can only be insured if they use professional supplies. One more thing, tipping is graciously accepted😉
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk directly on the phone with new clients to answer any questions, as well as go over anything they'd like me to know prior to the event. I also like to talk about what type of designs they may have in mind so that I can have some samples ready to show them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in art and have worked in the industry for 30 years. Ive received several awards and won contests. I've also participated in several workshops around the country, and continue to do so.
