FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All pricing info can be found here: zotzinguitarlessons.com/tuition/ I offer various discount packages to help my students save a lot of money on their guitar and music education. Students can buy their lessons using paypal on the site. I also accept cash, checks, and credit cards at my teaching studio.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
That really depends on the student. Students who, regardless of their level, have the ambition to become top, world-class guitarists and musicians in whatever style, can take advantage of my strong teaching plan that covers absolutely everything: * Theory * Harmony: Chords, voice leading, formulas, progressions, tensions, etc. * Scales * Rhythm * Improvisation * Stylistic elements * Guitar techniques & Shredding * Song studies * Music reading * Transcribing * Song writing and composition. * Recording. * Walking bass lines. *Ear-training * and much more. Then there are also the students who only want to learn certain specific things only, like for example: Bob Dylan songs, or everything Jimi Hendrix, or how to solo like Charlie Christian, or how to solo like Jimmy Page, or how to come up with cool funk rhythms, or how to play blues, how to write songs, etc. etc. There is no limit really to the number of things you can learn about guitar & music under my guidance. I teach from complete beginners to highly advanced guitarists and every level in between. :) My students all progress exceptionally fast, and many of my students went on to successfully earn degrees in Berklee, Juilliard and other top schools.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned 3 Degrees Summa Cum Laude at Conservatory and Berklee College of Music, in Classical Guitar Performance, Jazz Guitar Performance, and Music Production & Engineering. I also read about a book a week. Some of the books read this year: The Talent Code (Daniel Coyle) Zen Guitar (Philip Toshio Sudo) Effortless Mastery (Kenny Werner) The Music Lesson (Victor Wooten) The Inner Game of Music (Barry Green) The Kodaly Method (Music Pedagogy) The Orff Schulwerk (Music Pedagogy) This Is Your Brain On Music ( Daniel Levitin) Musicophilia (Oliver Sacks) This continuous study in my field is what makes me one of the busiest guitar instructors in Los Angeles.
