I am an adult first time piano student. Hector is so clear with his communication, and his knowledge is outstanding. I am not great with technology but Hector helped me get situated for a very informative and helpful online lesson. Hector explained to me his philosophy of hands on training mixed with a study of theory and I am very excited he is my teacher as I begin this new hobby.

I have had several weekly lessons with Héctor so far and am very impressed. Héctor is very encouraging, tailors his lessons to my needs and balances playing the piano with music theory and rhythm development amazingly well.
As an adult learner and a complete beginner with no knowledge of music theory or playing an instrument; I can see a marked improvement from lesson to lesson. Pieces I looked at weeks ago, now make perfect sense.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is built around a monthly structure that adapts to each student’s schedule and goals. Lessons are organized in time blocks that can be combined in different ways, with scheduling through my calendar, ongoing communication, and clear tracking of progress and time. Optional group sessions and additional support are available. Full details are shared in your trial lesson, and I’m always happy to answer questions.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My focus is on making your piano learning journey personalized, flexible, and enjoyable. Here’s how I typically work with new customers:
• Getting Started: Let’s begin with a session on me, where we’ll discuss your musical background, goals, and aspirations. You’ll also receive access to the Piano Improvisation Learning Lounge (PILL) to explore improvisation and creativity in a group setting.
• Custom-Tailored Lessons: Together, we’ll map out a journal to guide your progress, blending exploration with steady growth. Lessons will be interactive, with a multi-camera setup including a bird’s-eye view to clearly demonstrate hand movements and techniques.
• Flexible Scheduling: All plans include the ability to reschedule lessons within the month, so you can find times that work best for you.
I offer ongoing support through flexible monthly lesson blocks, continuous scheduling via Calendly, regular check-ins, reminders and shared lesson notes. The goal is consistent guidance, clarity, and momentum between lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have extensive education and training in music. I studied at the National Conservatory of Music of Mexico, where I practiced intensively and earned several recognitions. I also attended prestigious programs in Mexico and the U.S., including my studies at The Golandsky Institute with world-renowned pedagogue Robert Durso. Additionally, I have participated in numerous masterclasses and advanced training programs, honing my skills with esteemed mentors and performers.
