We just purchased a new home and, due to the inspections, knew going into it that there were some exterior items that needed to be tended to in the near future. We decided to try and knock the issues out right away and are so glad we found Taras on Thumbtack. He was very responsive and provided an estimate which we felt was competitive and reasonable. He completely rebuilt our wood deck stairs which were unstable due to dry rot and did an amazing job. He also replaced boards in the deck that needed replacing, sealed our window frames on the exterior, replaced a deteriorating door frame around our side garage door and finished off all his work by painting and touching up as needed. He has fantastic work ethic, workmanship and attention to detail and we would definitely hire him again if the need arises in the future.

I can't say enough about Taras and his work ethic. He was extremely professional. He arrived on time for our deck repair estimate. He crawled under the deck and took photos of damage. He answered all my questions. He is a great communicator. My husband, the engineer, said, "He definitely knew what he was doing." I told Taras that is high praise from him. He communicated at the end of the day and let me know his arrival time for the next day. I would hire him again. The best I've ever worked with.

Working with Taras was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We have a very distinctive home with wooden side shingles that needed evaluation and repair/replacement where necessary. This job required both technical skill and an artistic eye for matching and laying out the shingles. After receiving several quotes through Thumbtack and through friends, it was clear that Taras was the right professional for the job.
He took the time to thoroughly evaluate our entire house before providing an estimate, and even identified issues we hadn't considered—like old or faulty caulking around windows and sliding doors, missing flashing, plus other potential problem areas that he wanted to look into. His attention to detail and commitment to doing things right really stood out above others who just focused on the surface shingle issues.
His estimate was fair and he clearly explained every aspect of the work. Throughout the project, Taras maintained excellent communication, provided honest assessments, and consistently went above and beyond to deliver quality results. He successfully matched our older shingles and recommended effective solutions for water management issues. When he discovered additional problem areas during the work, even some dry rot, he promptly informed us and provided clear explanations and estimates for addressing them, which we easily okayed due to our already high trust in his work!
Taras did an outstanding job with both the shingles and waterproofing, leaving our home beautifully prepared for painting. Beyond his professionalism and expertise, he's kind, responsible, and simply a pleasant person to work with. I would absolutely hire Taras again for any future projects and highly recommend him to other Thumbtack users!

Taras repaired my deck. I was amazed at how it turned out. It looked like a new deck. He completed the project beyond my expectation. He’s very hard working.
