FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm a time and materials kind of guy. Often the client will have multiple things they need done, but only plan for the most pressing one. If I can take care of 3 - 5 tasks at the same time, it helps the client out and saves driving back and forth.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm constantly seeking new products on the market and researching new techniques. I'm interested in PEX Plumbing systems and anxious to add it to my skill set. I'm seeing fiber optic lines being put into residential settings for data, voice and entertainment. Being a certified fiber splicer, this is an exciting development.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
To be honest, I changed professions after a bad experience. Answered an add in the local newspaper and began my career as a carpenter. That was 1985. The job paid well, didn't require a lot of tools (then) and the work was steady.
