First and foremost, congratulations on your engagement!! If you're looking for an experienced officiant/celebrant to create a ceremony uniquely your own, you've found "your person"! I got my start over 10 years ago when I was sworn in as a Deputy Marriage Commissioner for Alameda County, then I went out on my own because civil ceremonies are...well... let's just say they are cookie-cutter. I wanted to work with clients to create a ceremony that they'd enjoy and remember for years to come so I went out on my own. I like to start by scheduling a "get acquainted" call via Google Meets or Zoom call so you can decide if I'm a good fit for you both. I suggest you interview more than one officiant. If we're a "go", we'll sign an agreement, a 50% deposit will be made and your date will then go 'in ink' on my calendar. Happy to share the remaining details during our call. My pricing starts at $400. Add-ons depend on time of ceremony for commute/traffic considerations, rehearsal, tolls and parking. They made our special day extra special. Saundra is an outstanding wedding officiant. We hired her with 3-weeks notice before our wedding which was a small intimate affair in our backyard with just the two of us, our children, one other couple and our dog. Through questionnaires and suggestions from her vast expertise, Saundra guided us to make the ceremony a very personal, meaningful and joyous event. We paid for the officiate plus photography package and are delighted by the results. Joe’s photographs are beautiful, taken with an artistic eye, and much better than you can get from attendees’ cell phone pictures. Plus, we wanted our attendees to enjoy the event, not photograph it. They were very well prepared and professional; you do not need to worry. They are a great team and lovely people. Amazing experience!

Dan and I first met Saundra on June 7, 2014, 11 months before our wedding. I was originally concerned that she was located in Castro Valley and it would be some travel for us to have meetings with her, as we live in San Francisco. Saundra was more than willing to come to San Francisco to meet us, and I was pleased with her flexibility and willingness to make it easy for us. When we first met Saundra, we knew very quickly that she was the right officiant for us. She was very warm and open and an interesting person, and it was very easy to talk with her. Our first meeting was 11 months from our wedding date, and Dan and I really did not have much of an idea at that time what we wanted our ceremony to be like. Saundra really helped us by making several suggestions and reviewing options with us. We walked away feeling like Saundra would be the perfect choice as our wedding officiant. We did not meet Saundra again for a long while, but had many email exchanges along the way, going back and forth ironing out all the details for the wedding. Saundra really made the whole process easy and enjoyable for us. Our wedding day of May 2, 2015 could not have been more perfect, and we are thrilled that Saundra was a part of our special day.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Though my pricing starts at $400, the final quote will factor in whether you'd like me at rehearsal, commute time and mileage to/from your wedding venue and bridge toll/parking if applicable. To provide you an accurate quote means I need to know: your wedding date (to check for availability), time of your ceremony (even if just an estimate), city where your wedding will be held. As a military brat (USAF), I offer a military discount as a "thank you" to active duty personnel and to teachers too.
