Introduction: I Thank you for considering Bates Handyman Service. I focus on Quality, and serving the customer to the best of my ability, I've been doing building maintenance and construction for over 25 years. Most recently I spent over half a decade as a Stationary Engineer specializing in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment. Over my years of experience, I've learned its cheaper to do something right the first time, it may be more expensive up front but in the end it saves you money and time. My rate is 100$ to show up 75$ an hour after the first hour, I also have flat pricing for certain tasks.

I had to install a heavy art on my wall. Communication to Marcus was easy over the messages and he asked right questions so he would be ready with all the materials. He use French cleat to hang the picture and the work was pretty smooth. I asked him for the suggestions about other issues that I was having in my home and he was answering all of them with patience. Also, at the end we asked him if we could pay with thumbtack app to avail the discount in the app and even though it wasn’t setup for him, he was ok to do that.

He returned my phone call, and came up later that day. Fixed my main problem, a leak under my sink, and another drippy faucet outside. He'll return in the next week or so to replace the 2 faucets that I want replaced but not a rush job. Very nice man, fair prices and knew exactly what to do.

Marcus was a pleasure to work with. He came today (12/2/22) to install some grab bars for my dad in his shower. He was patient and easy to work with. I appreciate the open communication throughout; I had to work out some details prior to him being onsite today. While on-site he was professional and before doing the work, he would go through the details of the task first to be sure that’s what I wanted. He was organized and left the site clean.
