"I want to raise the bar in providing food that looks and tastes delicious!" -says Amy. Chef Amy has an extensive background in running events for the Outrigger Hotels in Oahu and for Wolfgang Puck in Seattle. She has also worked in kitchens in NYC, Washington DC, Hawaii, and Seattle. Being a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, she has created a vision of providing the most unique and custom tailored culinary experiences for her clients. No menu is the same, as she doesn't believe in set menus. She believes in creating a menu that fits the needs and wants of every client.

We hired Garlic Girls Catering to provide a post-wedding lunch for 40 people. I could go on forever about how great Amy was in every way--responsive to our needs, creative menu suggestion that fit our event perfectly, fabulous food in presentation and taste, reasonable cost. We had exactly the amount of food we needed. Everyone--from grandparents to kids, guys, gals--everyone loved the food. I got lots of compliments, I wish Amy could have heard them, but she kept quietly behind the scenes for the entire event. We had an uncertain schedule because of post-wedding photos and didn't actually eat until a couple of hours after I had asked Amy to have the food ready. She had planned a perfect menu that was delicious nonetheless. I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending her catering services for any event. Thanks Amy!!

I have attended different events were Garlic Girls provided the food and displays and every time it has been something new and delicious! I especially like the brownie bites she has pictured and converted me to liking brussell sprouts! Highly recommended!

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I have loved cooking for as long as I can remember and chose to take a culinary arts program in high school to see if this was something that I wanted to do when I grew up! I loved it, and got accepted to The Culinary Institute of America where I graduate with honors and went on to start my own business that is now Garlic Girls Catering & Events!

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    I cater a high volume of weddings, baby showers, birthdays, rehearsal dinners, business lunches & graduation parties, as well as personal chef services for intimate dinner parties or weekly meal drop offs.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Always go with your gut, if you aren't getting the kind of answers you want from your questions then you probably won't be satisfied with the service. I have a love & passion for what I do, and I truly enjoy giving clients the best experience that I can.
