Alan Spears is a godsend. Mr. Spears was so impressive in the courtroom he immediately gained the respect of the prosecutor and the judge. He actually answered his phone or returned our calls and emails very quickly. He legal assistant, Kathleen, is responsive, knowledgeable, and kind. Going through the court system is scary - we had been taken advantage of by more than one attorney and were very skeptical paying another one but had no choice. I just wanted to thank Alan and Kathleen for helping me in the whole DUI process. It was a roller-coaster of emotions but Kathleen and Alan insured me that everything was going to be alright. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I take all special MCLE to qualify for representing clients in Capital Murder cases.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I represented a DUI client in 2011. The client got a new DUI in 2014 while still on probation for the 2011 case. After concluding the second case by a negotiated plea that didn't required any jail time, the client got yet another (third) DUI -- this time involving a car crash with severe injuries to the other party. I won't tell you how I did it, but the client was NOT taken into custody and the arraignment!
