Introduction: Hello, I'm Raffi of "RAFFIX PHOTO". Making People, Places, & Products look their best is my Passion! *My studio is in Chatsworth* (Close to the 118fwy). I'm a published, and Robb Report recommended agency photographer. Vogue, Town & Country, Esquire, Veranda, Forbes Life, Wedding Style, Departures, are a few magazines I have my work in. Seeing beauty and bringing out the unique positive in all things allows me to capture qualities in each person and subject I encounter. My skills in product photos gives me the opportunity to bring subjects to life. Besides all the technical aspects, an "eye for detail" and good taste is important in photography. With events, I get to capture endless moments and see happy faces. ***I highly recommend calling to verbally discuss your project and optimize your photo shoot! Please take a moment to browse my profile photos & website links for examples (keep scrolling, as there are many photos). My photos, the feedback reviews, and list of clients makes for the best representation of my work. Read further for more about me... ---------------- My background and studies in Fine Arts with exposure to different modalities from a young age developed my understanding and importance in visual communication. I started in photography with film processing in the darkroom, along computer graphics and image retouching. I embraced digital early on and have been using it since. I differ from average photographers as I take each project as a new opportunity in image making. Some photographers develop a sense of a single style over the years that becomes formulated. Avoiding this keeps images original and fresh. I photograph because I love to make great images. That's always my #1 reason. To imagine a final photo beforehand is vital in the visual arts. This is where years of experience pay off. Otherwise, you may need to redo the shoot. Thank you for your interest and consideration to book your next photo shoot with me! Raffi

I had such a great experience working on a shoot with Raffix, this guy knows his stuff for sure! He was very patient and polite in answering all my questions and there is no doubt on his profession. I'm an Art Director and he made sure that every single detail was covered; I couldn't be happier with the end result. If you're looking for anything from simple headshots, to product photography, Raffix is the man!

We loved Raffi and I would use Raffix again anytime he is available. This shoot was a logistical challenge. He improvised and caught some award winning sunset shots. Super laid back and easy to work with professional, and most importantly a killer photographer. If you can get him on a shoot, do it.

Photo Editing, Scanning and Restoration

Hi, my name's Rechele & we live in Castaic, Ca. Sadly, our daughter's wedding photos didn't turn out, we couldn't even put them in a photo album ~ they were so bad! Raffix was able to improve many of the photos to very near perfect! After many days of my daughter crying, this Wonderful Surprise finally put a smile back on her face! We finally had some Beautiful Pictures to place on the walls & admire! Thank You so much Raffix for the Wonderful Memories you brought back to our Family!
Raffix's reply
Thank you for this review Rechele, I'm happy to hear the results brought some joy back in. Best wishes, Raffi

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My quote is based on each request. For location and studio sessions, additional charge is for providing more photos than discussed. For events, if you need me to stay for 15 or so minutes, I do not charge extra. If you need me for an additional hour or more, there is a charge. *Discounts are offered when you come with more people for more sessions. *

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Different people will have a different images in their mind. Compare apples to apples when you get a quote. Look at overall quality, and consistency, not necessarily a matching photo you imagine. A good photographer can create the look and scene you're after. ----------- Have a detailed description of what you want in the Request Form. Image samples help, as well a description or a photo of the subject being photographed. Be realistic. If you are doing one session, don't expect the dozen examples you collected of multiple scenes to be something possible in a basic single session. I highly encourage a conversation. Often each job requires something unique. There are many variables that clients do not know that photographers need to consider to make optimal results happen. In a conversation these details can be understood.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My formal background training is in Fine Arts. I have had a camera from a young age, and purchased my first SLR film camera when I was 19 years old. I now use multiple digital formats in my work. There are always new tools being developed. I'm constantly experimenting with new ways and use of tools to gain efficiency for my clients and their needs. If your not passionately striving to be better, your doing it wrong.
