FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My quote is based on each request. For location and studio sessions, additional charge is for providing more photos than discussed. For events, if you need me to stay for 15 or so minutes, I do not charge extra. If you need me for an additional hour or more, there is a charge. *Discounts are offered when you come with more people for more sessions. *
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Different people will have a different images in their mind. Compare apples to apples when you get a quote. Look at overall quality, and consistency, not necessarily a matching photo you imagine. A good photographer can create the look and scene you're after. ----------- Have a detailed description of what you want in the Request Form. Image samples help, as well a description or a photo of the subject being photographed. Be realistic. If you are doing one session, don't expect the dozen examples you collected of multiple scenes to be something possible in a basic single session. I highly encourage a conversation. Often each job requires something unique. There are many variables that clients do not know that photographers need to consider to make optimal results happen. In a conversation these details can be understood.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My formal background training is in Fine Arts. I have had a camera from a young age, and purchased my first SLR film camera when I was 19 years old. I now use multiple digital formats in my work. There are always new tools being developed. I'm constantly experimenting with new ways and use of tools to gain efficiency for my clients and their needs. If your not passionately striving to be better, your doing it wrong.
