Welcome to the Ben Hur Moving and Storage family. We are a family-owned and operated company, based in the LA area with 30 years of experience in the moving industry.
Ben Hur Moving and Storage is a full-service moving company -we are not brokers. We provide local and long-distance moving services. We own our warehouse and secure storage facility, with very competitive prices.
Our goal is to make moving as easy and stress-free as possible for you.
We'll be right by your side from your first contact with our knowledgeable and friendly office staff to the move date, where you'll meet our movers- some of whom have been with us for over a decade. We'll be just a phone call away during the day of the move and any time leading up to it. And we'll be checking in with you after the move to make sure everything went well. We pride ourselves on giving you peace of mind throughout the whole process.

I used Ben Hur Moving to move both my house and my office in the last month.
I was very impressed with the professionalism and responsiveness of the company from my first contact with them.
My house move was a big one and the team who came (arriving early too) really did an excellent job. Given that it was a townhouse with lots of stairs, they managed to make it look easy. We even had them move our grand piano and they problem-solved to get it out of a very tight space. The guys were very professional, courteous, careful and pleasant to spend the day with - and it was a whole day!
Even a small issue relating to an additional truck was resolved by Nicole the day after the move.
For my office, Nicole was very helpful and flexible regarding my dates. The crew arrived on time and got right to work. One of the guys was even part of the crew who had moved my house. This was a quicker move but required navigating through an antiques store. The guys were professional and made sure to be extremely careful with my property as well as all the antiques in the store which they had to navigate.
Overall, I feel fortunate to have found Ben Hur Moving to look after what was a very busy and stressful month. They are extremely responsive to any issues, informative and helpful (I purchased additional insurance and we went over the parameters of that together), as well just making me feel like a valued customer.

I recently used Ben Hur and had a great experience. The movers were punctual, fast working, very efficient and extremely careful with the belongings. They brought enough blankets and supplies to not only cover all the furniture but all of the floors as well so that nothing scratched any of the surfaces. The pricing was very fair and i felt we got our money's worth. They were incredibly friendly, very hard working and I would recommend them to anyone moving!

The move went incredibly well! The Ben Hur movers were professional, incredibly hard working, and really pleasant to work with. Combined with the office staff's help and attention, the significantly lower price and their availability, I cant even imagine a better moving experience. Well, if those mythical elves had arrived to unpack everything and put it all away, that would have been better; but alas given we live in the real world, my Ben Hur moving experience far surpassed my expectations and hopes.

We had a phenomenal experience. The movers were on time and wonderfully efficient. The move took less than 4 hours altogether (new house was less than a mile away), and the team was productive and friendly throughout (despite awful heat and a lot of stairs). Nothing was damaged or missing. I can't recommend Ben-Hur highly enough.

I used Ben Hur to move a 1 bedroom apartment from L.A. to New York City. I would absolutely use Ben Hur again. They were extremely professional, honest, and careful. They kept in contact through every step of the move. One thing I sincerely appreciated is the price that I was quoted from the very beginning is the same price I paid at the end of my move. Although one item, a small ladder, did get lost in the move, I was asked the cost for the item and was immediately sent a reimbursement check. This is a trustworthy, professional group and everyone I spoke with was very nice and personable. Working with Ben Hur ended up being the easiest part of my move from California to New York City. If you don't want to stress about your belongings, definitely go with Ben Hur! You will be in good hands.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We follow all PUC and DOT guidelines, but as every move that Ben Hur does is custom tailored to our clients needs there is no standard pricing for our industry.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once we have contacted our clients via phone call, internet, email, or text our typical process is to make our clients feel as comfortable as they can be during the stressful process of moving. We will take the time to find out all of their needs to make their move as smooth as possible. Ben Hur does an initial phone consultation listening to the clients needs and wants. We then, custom tailor their move to treat each of our customers as a family member offering caring, reliable service, with the utmost integrity providing a smooth transition from your current home to your new home.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our movers go through a 3 month training process so they can achieve the level of expertise that Ben Hur Moving requires of their employees. Our leads, or foremen have between 10 to 12 years in the industry on average.
Between our moving consultants, dispatchers, warehouse men and marketing staff, Ben Hur Moving has over 75 years experience teaching and training our employees to a standard of excellence that is second to none.
