Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Paint, carpet, electrical and plumbing repairs. Most projects just need some basic cleaning up and refreshing, but we know that some projects want that wow factor so we go the distance to make sure the property is exactly right for the future buyer or recent homeowner.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Most contractors think that they work by referral only, yet most don't realize that the average homeowner would never refer a contractor that takes too long to get back to them or never comes in on time or on budget.
It is sad to say, but most contractors are great at their trade (building, remodeling or repairing), but never take the time to master the customer service side of their trade. Many think that simply having someone answering the phones is not enough. They need to commit to great and timely customer service in order to shine!
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. How quickly do you need a bid or estimate. If you need it within 1-2 days, we are your company!
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Rather than simply identifying ourselves as a Contractor or Preservation company; we prefer to consider ourselves a Service-Based company that happens to provide Contractor and Preservation service.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Every day is different in this industry and we have the opportunity to make our clients job easier.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Does your company provide "X" service? Our answer is YES, absolutely, if you need it done, we can do it!
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. One of the first properties we ever serviced was a property that was being occupied by drug dealers with an active growhouse. I notified the police and they had their SWAT team on scene within 10 minutes on what was their biggest drug bust to date that year. Pretty dicey work environment…
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. We truly care about making our company a part of your service team. Our job is to make you look better!
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. Our largest project to date was a complete kitchen, laundry and common area rehab of a multi-tenant boarding house in Berkeley. It was a learning process for us since we had never had to deal with the city for code violations and permits. It involved a lot of time and research to ensure full compliance. The outcome was perfect since we completed the project on budget and on time and gained the experience in the process as well.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. We are constantly training to keep up on industry certifications as well as sales and customer service training. By consistently surveying our clients and the business itself, we keep our swords sharpened on providing the best service and quality work possible.
