I’ve worked with special education students in the classroom, I have a BS degree (psychology) and have tutored privately the gifted. I have a wide range of experience. Qualified to substitute teach in California ( passed CBEST). I bring creativity to the chessboard, ( I am a published artist/writer) as well as strategic planning, professionalism and fun.
Refer me to someone that books a session get a $25 discount! I also charge for workbooks, $50 for a set which are highly recommended. For last minute cancellations within 24 hours of appointment I charge a fee of $40. For travel over 30 miles one way from Corona I charge an additional fee of $10.

We have been so fortunate to have such an amazing chess coach for our son for the past four years! She is not only an excellent teacher, but also incredibly kind, patient, encouraging, and genuinely cares about her students.
Over these four years, we have seen so much improvement in our son’s chess skills, confidence, and understanding of the game. She explains things so well and knows exactly how to challenge and encourage him at the same time. We appreciate how she motivates her students by giving out little prizes and rewards! it makes learning chess exciting and gives the kids something extra to work toward!
Another huge convenience for our family is that she comes to our house for lessons, which has been wonderful and saves us so much time with our busy schedule.
We truly couldn’t be happier with her. She has been such an important part of our son’s chess journey, and we are so grateful for all the time, patience, encouragement, and knowledge she has given him over the years. Jenny is a very good chess instructor. Because my son is so active and cannot focus to take online
, he needs face-to-face class. Therefore, I am very happy to find her for my son. She is very responsiveness, patient, creative, and very knowledgeable. My son learn very quick with her and he also enjoys chess. I highly recommend her for any parents want their kids learn chess.

I work with clients on prices
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If they already know how to play, I play them to see what their weak areas are, then training begins, which is customized for each student. I use several different methods to teach, workbooks, iPad, puzzles, games. I also give a prize(s) to students after each session… I try to keep the student engaged in various chess activities!!!!
