We are a full-service. family-ran, residential remodeling company. I, Dan Zuckswert, have been living, working and serving the Shasta County community since 1978. I have been licensed as a general contractor since 1994. Light commercial, rental and home repair/remodeling is all we have done. We work on one project at a time, so the focus is on you. We are not finished with the job until you are satisfied. After all, without the customer, there is no business. Give us a call for free estimates. We are EPA certified.

We had a remodel done 8 years ago. About a year after if was finished a small crack appeared in our ceiling. The contractor was going to have it re-taped and textured but for some reason it never got done. Over the years the crack got bigger and bigger, and then I noticed it was starting to run down the wall. We had a contractor come in and look at the problem, he said the ceiling was sagging and it would have to be reinforced, but it was not a job he was willing to do. That was probably fortunate for us. Then we were referred to Dan. Dan did a much more thorough job of looking at the problem, including crawling under the house. He determined there was nothing wrong with the ceiling, it was the floor. He jacked up the floor and reinforced it as needed. When I came home from work after their first day I was shocked to see that the crack had virtually disappeared. They finished the job the next day and I couldn't be more please. Very courteous, great job of cleanup and an excellent job overall and the price was very reasonable considering how difficult the job really was, thanks Dan. Dan with Excellent Home Improvement recently did an entire kitchen remodel for us. The finished product is stunning! We couldn't have asked for a better contractor. Excellent Home Improvement was in fact, excellent! Dan was quick to respond to our questions, give us a reasonable estimate, and tended to details. His professionalism was superb. There were multiple times during our kitchen remodel that we thought of something we needed, only to realize Dan had ALREADY thought of it and taken care of it. It was such a pleasure to work with Dan and his crew. The next time we are ready for a project to begin, we will definitely be calling him!
