Finding a person to do even small jobs is next to impossible. I found Thumbtack by accident and replied to John, thinking it would be more of the same. John said he would arrive the following day to do the job. And did he. John did the job and more. John was punctual and reasonable. Not only did he do a quality job, he also had a great personality. My job was done on time, and for the price quoted. John was great. They came out to fix my fence and dog proof it from escapes. They were awesome, I came out during the work and told them I wanted something done differently and they did it no problem, no irritated looks or sighs, they just put up with me, and did things the way I wanted. Thanks! I will definitely have them back when I finish my fence work in the future.

John is a hard worker and did a commendable job on a difficult task. He put up a deer fence on a steep hillside where you're rarely standing on level ground. The job was completed ahead of schedule and at a fair price. As far as what could be improved, maybe take a little more time as required for a "can't be beat" job. I would hire him again and have already talked to him about some future jobs. I hired John to build a hillside fence for which I had already submitted a favorable review. However, after closer inspection, I found the corner posts to be improperly installed which will affect the longevity of the fence. The post holes were only 16-20" deep and not the 2' specified and there was only a foot of concrete anchoring the posts. John agreed to to correct the problem but never followed up so I had the holes concreted up to ground level for additional support and to eliminate ground contact with the posts. It is still not 2 feet deep but a lot better. I still believe John to be a hard worker and capable of doing good work but I consider this project to be sub par.
