FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been very interested in tools and building and fixing anything since before I can remember. When I was 7 I got a starter toolbox for Christmas and then it was game on! I was building birdhouses and tables for friends and family and even one for the family gardener! I got a “big project” when I was 10 to build a doghouse for a neighbor and made some money doing it. I’ve been hooked ever since. I have been self taught in many ways but have also been really lucky to have known some absolute professionals in many fields of construction and handy work that I have been able to learn so much from. The end result is my ability now to tackle and fix/build for anything that comes my way
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked in everything. Landscaping, fencing, plumbing, electrical, flooring, tile, framing, lighting... etc... also I am honest in the very few cases where I might not be able to do the job then I will be able to recommend the right person to get the job done for the client
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A recent project I did was reframing a poolside cabana. It was bowing in the middle and I was able to jack it up and add support beams and make the roof of the cabana level again. This was done over a Saturday and Sunday that also consisted of installing 12 direct wire under cabinet kitchen led recessed lights, fixing 11 exposed 4s electrical boxes in the attic, cleaning out the entire attic of all trash left by previous contractor, and getting the porch support beams up to code with proper fasteners and supports. The lady I was working for was beyond happy and so was I with a weekend well spent!
