Kricket McKay loves sharing her passion for the water with all ages and abilities. She is Redcross Lifeguard certified, has gone through Aquatic Instructor training, and has been an Aquatic Director for local scouting camps.
Kricket has also worked as a paraeducator for special needs. She has worked one-on-one with students to help them attend mainstream classes and succeed in their high school education.
Kricket is dedicated to bringing a kind and patient touch to her classes and events.

I was dragging my feet on starting lessons because I hadn’t gone swimming in over ten years and only knew VERY basic/not even proper strokes and techniques, but she made the whole process so easy. She is incredibly chill and never made me feel rushed—we just moved at whatever pace I was feeling that day.
One of the best parts was how she handled my million questions; she actually took the time to explain the 'why' behind everything, which helped it all click way faster. She’s also just got such a positive energy and vibe that makes being in the water and learning something new actually fun rather than a chore. If you're looking for someone who is patient, super skilled, and just a genuinely cool person to learn from, I highly recommend Kricket!!!

We absolutely love Kristi (aka Kricket)! She's been working with both of our daughters, and we couldn't be happier with their progress.
Our older daughter already knew how to swim, but Kricket has been helping her refine her technique and build stronger skills -- and the improvement has been amazing. Our younger daughter, on the other hand, started off very hesitant in the water, but Kricket has been so patient, kind, and encouraging. She's helping her gain confidence little by little, and it's been wonderful to watch her become more comfortable each week.
Kricket truly has a special way with kids -- she makes lessons fun, positive, and perfectly tailored to each child's level. We couldn't recommend her more highly!

My daughter’s swimming teacher is highly professional and responsible. In just six classes, my daughter successfully learned two swimming strokes under her guidance. The lessons were well-structured and effective, helping my daughter build confidence and skills quickly. We are very pleased with the progress and overall quality of the classes.

Thank you for having Ms. Kristi as our 5-year-old daughter’s swimming instructor. She has been incredibly patient and thoughtful, always willing to adjust her approach to find the best way to guide children to learn and truly enjoy being in the water.
Thanks to her encouragement and teaching style, we’ve happily extended our lessons from 45mins to 90mins at each time now. It’s been such a joy to see our daughter grow more confident, do so well, and genuinely fall in love with swimming.
