Marco is absolutely great! He teaches you what you want to learn and structures the lesson plan around your custom needs. Each class builds upon the previous ones, and he makes sure to remind you of important points and techniques to improve your work should you forget. I would've completely forgotten about the importance of varying my line weights had he not reminded me at the end of my assignments!
Marco is also really sweet and fun to talk to, so every class is an enjoyable experience. He has a great sense of humor, but knows when to be serious and stern because he wants you to succeed as much as you do. Great guy and great teacher! (And his milk tea is quite the bonus!)

I found Thumbtack quite randomly while searching for "how-to" advice on creating my own web site. So happy I did! MiDESign & Marketing Consultancy was one of five design sites that contacted me initially. All were clearly capable but MiDESign seemed the best fit for my needs as an artist. At our initial meeting Marco Ippaso, artist, owner and designer, explained his services clearly and laid out the general process of building my web site together including costs, time frame, mutual expectations, etc. I found him easy to work with, extremely creative and we quickly developed an easy working relationship. I was never pressured for time and essentially my pace was his pace. Marco made sure our meetings were pleasant and convenient and kept me up to date on his plan and progress. Early on he presented me with several design options and together we agreed on one and concentrated thereafter on refining it. Marco "got" me and understood my taste and personality as it would be reflected in the site. I would recommend Marco and MiDESign & Marketing Consultancy to anyone looking for professional, stylish and creative design services.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually charge by the hour. However I have a series of fixed fee pricing for common briefs such as Logo Design, Stationery, and have different monthly marketing packages for clients, depending up requirements. Estimated job pricing is given per specific job, once the brief has been defined.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The fundamental is personal service. Usually everything starts with a telephone conversation to ensure congeniality and that we can provide what the client requires. We also cover pricing expectations and time frames. This is then inevitably followed by a meeting where the project is discussed in detail. Everything is then confirmed in writing and the project is commenced. Briefs are broken down in stages which trigger project reviews, to ensure everything is agreed, is on track and the client is happy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Constantly learning to stay up to date, utilizing the latest Adobe Creative suite. Web design and Social Media is progressing at such a rapid speed that if you don't remain abreast of technology, you get left behind!
