Introduction: "We bring the party with us" has been our motto for the past 25 years. We have performed at countless weddings, community events, concerts, local nightclubs and corporate parties over the years and enjoy a great return customer base. We do give special discounts for community events that support "social justice causes".
GTS has entertained hundreds of satisfied clients over the past 25 years. They perform every third Thursday of the month at Spenger's fish grotto at 4th/University in Berkeley California from 6:30-9:30pm. This is a great venue to see the band if you are interested in hiring them.
GTS is a funk band from Richmond, California, playing Latin Jazz Funk and R and B from the 60,70,80 and 90's. The members have performed with members of James Brown, Tower of Power, Pete Escovido and Carlos Santana, too name a few.
The list of artists covered include: Tower of Power, Tyrone Davis, Al Green, Heatwave, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Cameo, Rick James, the Temptations, Ray Charles, Earth Wind and Fire, Ohio Players, the Commodores to name a few.
The minimum cost for the Band for one set is $1000 minimum for two hours of music including sound and lights. This is for local gigs within 30 miles of the bay area. Outside of that range there is an additional cost for travel and accommodations. Bigger venues also require hiring an outside sound company. The band can also work with as little as six musicians and can expand up to 12 including a five piece horn section and a female vocalist. Our price is more flexible for establishments that are willing to negotiate yearly contracts for a monthly performance (nightclub).
We perform for many wedding in the bay area and can bring a wide variety of music for your guests. Sinatra to Santana to Bruno Mars or James Brown. We can do it all. With a dynamic lead vocalist who also plays congas and to top notch horn sections, we bring the intensity to your party. We are experts in coordination weddings with your caterer of photographer. Its your special day and we work hard to help support your vision for the perfect reception or party. Depending on the size of the crowd we have to hire sound and lights. Most three hour gigs including sound and lights range from $1300 to $1600.00. Weddings usually cost $2200 for 4 hours of music.
