I met Paola during a special gown event at a local bridal boutique, Bridal Project. I didn't know then that I would be contacting her for our wedding invitations, but I was intrigued by her sample work. I loved her style, personalization for each couple and of course, the letterpress. When my husband saw Press 65's flyer in my stack of event swag, he looked them up and was just as intrigued. Fast forward to our first meeting to discuss our needs, and we found that not only did our vision and style aligned, but so did our personalities. We shared a love of books and all things print as well as a love for graphic design. As a teacher and a graphic designer, we were conscious of budget, and Press 65 was able to give us a reasonable price range and options for design of our invitations. When we finally got our hands on our invitations, they were everything we hoped for! Not to mention, the price was perfectly on point for the superb service. Because they put so much heart into their work and were such great people in general, they even gifted us something very special which we used on on our wedding day. Check out Press 65, folks! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All custom print jobs have custom costs. To determine these, we need to know how many invitations you'll need, whether you'll need response cards and envelopes, your deadline or mailing, and your budget.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
As I studied Printmaking, I fell in love particularly with letterpress. The hands-on process of registering and printing on a Vandercook makes my heart happy. After designing and printing my own wedding invitations, I realized I wanted to provide that experience for other couples.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of our most recent invitation suites was created for a couple who are the #1 and #2 biggest fans of the Warriors. With a basketball-themed wedding and full reign over the design concept, we had our work cut out for us! The result? Vintage basketball tickets for each guest, housed in a ticket folder for each household. The tickets were complete with perforated "ticket stubs" for the RSVPs.
