As a licensed attorney with an active bar membership in the State of California, Ms. Chen has years of law firm and in-house experience in complex litigation and transactional legal matters. Before she founded Unicorn Law Group, Ms. Chen had participated in high-profile litigations involving international companies conducting business in China and the U.S., and provided litigation support with all manner of corporate, regulatory, and litigation work.
Ms. Chen is one of the first-generation immigrants. She started her legal practice in the area of immigration by assisting her husband, then a Stanford Ph.D. candidate, in the immigrant petition for alien of extraordinary ability (EB-1A). Since then, Ms. Chen started offering legal consultation to Ph.D. candidates from top-tier universities on employment-based immigrant petitions and corporate governance of startup companies.
Ms. Chen holds the belief that Justice delayed is justice denied. She develops her expertise to ensure her clients receive premium legal services in an effective and cost-efficient way. After her daughter was born, Ms. Chen expanded her legal services to help foreign-born children of U.S. parent(s) return for family reunion because she knows family is everything.
Besides immigration law, Ms. Chen’s legal practice covers a wide spectrum of areas, including corporate formation & governance, contract review, cross-border e-commerce, rent control, homeowners’ disputes with HOA, consumer frauds, EB-5 regional center frauds, trademark applications, social media copyrights, and wills & trusts.
Ms. Chen received a Bachelor of Laws degree from Fudan University in 2009, and a Master of Laws degree from University of California Hastings College of the Law in 2011. Ms. Chen is admitted to practice law in the State of California, and is licensed to practice law in China. Ms. Chen is an active member of American Immigration Lawyers Association.
