- How did you get started doing this type of work?
While in High School, I was asked to perform the music for a college graduation party. Soon, I was DJing Hip Hop, Dancehall, Pop and House music at clubs, lounges, and private events in the Pacific Northwest (where I grew up) and California (SF Bay area & LA). Over the years, my appreciation for music has continually grown and I just love to see people having fun.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Go with your gut and get a good vibe from your DJ. I pride myself on being professional, which means timely, reliable, responsible, and flexible in my world.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Don't think that an iPod or automated playlist can replace a quality DJ. Timing and flow are so important in building the energy at your event. This is one thing that robots aren't able to replace!
