Welcome and thank you for reading my profile. I am primarily handling Estate-Planning (Living Trusts and Wills) matters now. I also review contracts for clients (Pre-nuptial agreements, real estate purchases, etc.) I deal with all clients and parties in a very low-key, non-confrontational setting in order to make the situation easier for all involved.
My goal is always to work together so we can avoid the courthouse . . no stuffy suits . . .just real people working together in a sensible way to deal with their matters.

As soon as I sent my request, Barbara contacted me the same day and called me the next day. After talking with her on the phone l knew she would be the right person to help me with my prenup. She was very thorough, clear, patient, and kind while explaining each part of the prenup so I could 100% understand and be protected before signing the documents. She was quick and responsive when communicating with me and the opposing attorney, following up with me and them, answering all my questions. Barbara was great when I contacted her for my divorce. I have an adult son with special needs and needed someone who was knowledgeable on child support laws for my situation. I contacted other attorney's and they all said there was no child support for an adult child with special needs. When I contacted Barbara she immediately answered "yes there is case law for this" and gave me the code to look up. This was all through our first messages on "Thumbtack". What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For contract review and preparation, I can charge a flat fee or hourly depending upon the issues that are involved. It will be discussed with the client prior to my engagement.
For preparation of Wills and Trusts, there is a flat fee that depends on the type and complexity of the assets and holdings of the client.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first speak with the potential clients on the phone or via a video call . . whatever makes them feel comfortable. I am happy to meet them in person in my office. I want to make it convenient and comfortable for everyone.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Juris Doctorate Degree in Law. I have been practicing law and drafting Wills and Trust for over 35 years. In law school, I received the American Jurisprudence Award for Wills and Trusts.
I am also the president of an HOA and serve on the Board of Directors of another entity. This gives me broad experience in dealing with many issues and concerns people may have.
