I was initially responded to this job lead on 6/25 and had high engagement interaction regarding his ongoing communication with the consumer setting up his job in subsequent days via Thumbtack email. We agreed on a July 10th installation. On July 8th, I injured significfantly injured my back lifting a heavy piece of equipment into my truck. I gave it overnight for evaluation. I woke up the next morning realizing that my back would take some time to heal. I immediately notified the consumer of the situation via Thumbtack email and text on 7/9/24 at 9:15 am. I indicated that given my experience with such back injuries in the past, it was safe to assume that it would be 1 to 2 weeks before I could perform physical labor. He was gracious and understanding in his response. He asked for an estimate of when I would be able to do the installation. I replied that it would be most likely between 7/29/24 to 8/4/24. this time frame allowed for the healing process and getting other jobs completed that came in prior to his job. I also recommended that he seek another company to do the installation. Keep in mind, that I did not sell any equipment to the consumer nor did any pre-payment occur. He did contact another contractor but sought my advice on his pricing. I told him that it seems that contractor was predatory and the price was much too high. He thanked me for my honest opinion - it appears below: "Okay sounds good. I will wait for your recovery. Please let me know when you are back to good shape and let me know your earliest availability then. Have a good evening!" You can plainly see he stated "I will wait for your recovery". The consumer than contacted me for an update on my condition on 7/18 and 7/20 [which was a Saturday which is a non-office day for us] for an update. also, these dates of contact fell at least 9 days before I projected I would most likely be able to be back to work and schedule his job. Given that the email was seen over this past weekend [[7/21 & 7/22]. It was my intention to update him on Monday [7/22]. However, I was surprised to see a negative review first thing on Monday morning [7/22] - again, well before the target dates of 7/29 to 8/4 that I could get to his job in all likelihood. In my opinion, this is a malicious and unfair review, especially when compared to all other reviews on Thumbtack and elsewhere.
