Kathy certainly loves cleaning. She didn't have the full two hours to clean as we sat and talked a while as this was our first face-to-face meeting and then she had a blood donation appt. at 3pm. However, her results were good and we have another appt. this Thursday evening. Looking forward to it.

First off let me say that I rarely review anything, especially a negative review, but I feel I should after the experience I had today. I hired Kathy to help with some cleaning in the rental my family is moving out of and I was really expecting a good job after reading the other reviews. I messaged her after she got in touch with me through Thumbtack and got an unfriendly response followed by very short, cold answers to my questions, and her repeatedly asking me if my oven was self cleaning, which I answered three times. I didn't get a good vibe from her during our correspondence and should have declined her services, but I figured I don't care how friendly she is through text as long as she does a good job. She showed up reeking of cigarettes and was cold and not very polite. I asked her to clean my stove and vent hood, my refrigerator (not freezer because we have to get stuff out and defrost it first), my bathtub in one bathroom, and shower in another. I showed her everything I was asking her to clean and she kept commenting rudely on the condition that they were in. I am aware that my house isn't spotless, but it's not that bad. I'm in the middle of moving with a baby while my husband works full time and is completing building on the place we're moving into...it's messy, but that's why I hired her. She said "oh wow! It dirtier than I expected" with a condescending tone in her voice, and made me feel like she didn't want the job, and made me uncomfortable in my own home. If she didn't want the job why did she offer??? I said I was going to take off for a while so I asked how long she expected it to take her and she said 3-4 hours. I came back after 2.5 hours to put my daughter down for her nap and I found her sitting outside in her truck smoking a cigarette and reading something on her phone, and I watched her for several minutes before going out front and saying hello and checking my mail. She said she was taking a break. I don't know how long she was out there, but it was probably a while. I feel like if you're only working for 3-4 hours I don't want to pay for your long break. When I went inside I found that she had only cleaned the stove. Don't get me wrong, I know it was dirty, but I had expected to have a lot more done by that time, especially since she, herself told me that she could finish the whole job in 3-4 hours. After 3.5 hours she said she was done with the refrigerator and I said not to worry about the tub and shower. I didn't want to have to keep paying her to take forever to clean those, too. She kept saying over and over again how it was dirtier than she thought, and that it took her longer than she thought, and being rude, disrespectful, and impolite. After she left I took a good look in the kitchen and found that the stove was still dirty, the vent hood was barely touched in some areas and paint completely scrubbed off in other areas(they will probably take part of my deposit for the damage so this will cost me more than what I paid her), and she didn't even touch the outside of the refrigerator, not to mention that she left black grit from the oven all over my kitchen floor. I paid her $90 to have her do half the job I hired her for, have her make a mess on the floor, and have to clean the vent hood, and outside of the refrigerator, and go over the stove again myself. I'm going to have to find the time to do it myself or hire another cleaning service to finish the job I hired her to do. Very unprofessional to say the least. To say that I'm dissatisfied and disappointed with her "quality cleaning" services is an understatement. I can not recommend her services, and would strongly caution anyone from hiring her.

I apologize, if you thought I had a bad attitude. I asked specifically what you wanted to be cleaned. I complied with your requests. Underneath the hood is what I remember, and only inside the refrigerator as I asked that twice. Remarking also, that the usual job is to pull the appliances out and clean. I was a little taken aback by the horrid pot smell that reeked in the whole house. You're right on one point in this review, I shouldn't have taken this job with the marijuana smell reeking throughout the house. Dirt is dirt, when you don't clean for 18 months it takes a lot of time. This person even tipped me !!!!
