I do not feel any need to charge for diagnostics because I have enough knowledge and experience to diagnose just about any computer issue based on a conversation with the computer owner. It is quick and easy for me to identify symptoms that indicate what the real issue is and move straight on to the repair. I really like the surprise customers often have when they get their computer back and it is in much better condition than they expected. I will often be able to speed up a customers computer substantially with small upgrades or even just cleaning up some of the software.

I had both my laptop computers break down at the same time - 4 days before I was leaving on a cross country trip. Once I contacted Brian, he came over to get the computers the same day. He looked at both computers and gave me a free estimate - a flat rate that I thought was fair. I paid for the parts up front and he ordered them. Unfortunately the new glass for my screen arrived broken. He had to send it back and wait for a new one. I took the larger laptop with me, but I had to leave before the glass could arrive, so Brian said he would mail my small laptop to me once it was fixed. I took a big gamble on someone I had never met before - I handed him cash and my 2 computers - and then I had to leave town without one of them. Brian came through with flying colors - he mailed my laptop promptly - 2 day delivery - well packaged - bubble wrap and double boxed - all at his own expense. (I offered to pay the shipping - but he refused), Both computers are working just fine and I am more than happy with the service. Brian seems very knowledgeable and equally important - very reliable. Brian did an awesome job on my broken screen frame and hinge for my laptop. I didn't think it would be repairable. He also helped remove a virus free of charge. He is very knowledgeable and a very good troubleshooter. I definitely will be using him for all my computer repair and upgrade needs.

Computers have always been a hobby for me. Learning how to repair and upgrade them came naturally over time.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently I was the Assembly Team Leader at a computer that built mostly high performance gaming computers with a large emphasis on aesthetic quality. While I was there I built thousands of very fast and very nice looking computers.
