Ken helped me understand how to count rhythms and also helped me with my singing. He understands theory very well and chords and he knows so many songs! My experience was very good with him. Very patient and always fun lessons. I always learned something every session. Yes, I would highly recommend Ken with Rocketman music!

My grandson has been taking saxophone lessons from Kenny Jackson at Rocketman Music for 9 years. Kenny has done an outstanding job with him he is now an accomplished saxophone player thanks to Kenny. He is studying for a degree in music at Cal Berkeley and is a rising sophomore If you have a child interested in learning music I highly recommend Rocketman Music

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask to hear you play and then analyze where we should start with the sessions. I encourage reading music, reading charts, knowing the chords and
devoting time on your instrument.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in Music Education and have taught in High Schools, Middle Schools and grammar schools. I have lots of experience playing in the New Orleans French Quarter, other music venues in bands as well as playing solo piano. I love playing both piano/keyboards and playing saxophone. I was classically trained and have played popular music extensively.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always taught music lessons as well as working in public schools. I have performing since the 9th grade in High School.
