I work with small businesses and nonprofits to build better businesses by increasing profits and performance. Turning vision into value, I am your single point of contact for managerial accounting, QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Certified Registered Tax Preparer, Pepperdine MBA and Management Consultant member of PATCA (Professional and Technical Consultants Association) I have served as an Adjunct Professor teaching business, marketing and operations to undergraduates. I will prepare your financial statements and tax returns as if they were my own. I work with a number of clients cleaning up records prepared by so-called "bookkeepers" who do not understand the basics of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or the differences between financial and managerial services. (Financial accounting tells you only where you have been. Managerial accounting helps you shape where you are going to achieve success!) Every client is different, with different goals, strengths and weaknesses, and paths to success. Every financial statement and tax return tells a life story. I love finding the appropriate places to apply my skills to small business owners and nonprofit organizations to help them succeed.

As a first time freelancer, I wasn't sure what to expect when tax season came around. Working with One Point Services was fast, educational and detail oriented. Rebecca helped me in understanding my expenses and guided me in organizing all of the right documents. She was also very helpful in answering questions for how to proceed with accounting and estimated taxes for the coming year. Everything was seamless and moved along very quickly. I am the president of a local youth soccer league in Santa Cruz and we needed someone to do our taxes and bookeeping for us. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After a one-hour initial free consultation to explore challenges, issues, needs, and budget, I prepare an engaqement letter or statement of work. If it is not a good fit, we part friends. If we agree to proceed, all parties have a clear understanding of the scope, timeline, milestones and budget involved.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Executive MBA with BS in Arts Management. Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, 20 Hours Continuing Education required to maintain CRTP (Certified Registered Tax Preparer), PMI PMP (Project Management Professional) 60 hours continuing education requirement and 20 hours of continuting education required to maintain the CRTP (Certified Registered Tax Prepare) status.
