About
MaksBuilder is Orange County's heat pump and high-efficiency HVAC specialist. Our factory-trained install crew handles every project, and I personally — as the licensed contractor (CSLB #1095368) — do every estimate and inspect every install. You meet me first, you get a real engineering review of your system, and the work doesn't leave us until I've signed off on it.
Every system we install gets a real Manual J load calculation, properly sized line sets, and start-up commissioning. That's the difference between an HVAC system that runs for 8 years and one that runs for 20+.
Services:
• Heat pump installation and replacement
• Ductless mini-split installation
• High-efficiency AC and furnace replacement
• 24/7 emergency HVAC repair
• Indoor air quality testing and improvements
• Maintenance plans
Brands: Daikin, Goodman, Lennox, Carrier, Mitsubishi, and many others
Service area: Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Irvine, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Hills, Ladera Ranch, Foothill Ranch, Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto de Caza.
Why hire MaksBuilder:
1. The licensed contractor (CSLB #1095368) is on every estimate and inspects every install.
2. A factory-trained install crew — not subcontractors hired job to job.
3. Engineered installs (real load calculations, not equipment guesses).
4. Rebate guidance and 0% financing.
5. 24/7 emergency response.
Free in-home estimate — typically same-week.

This project started with water coming out of secondary drain. Found a HVAC from Nextdoor. He cleared the drain and indicated that Freon is at 1/2 and compressor is not working. He gave us a quote to install a new unit to replace my 27 year old gas one. It was a reasonable quote. However, I wanted to get at least 3 quotes for obvious reasons. Maks was our second call. His detailed explanation, knowledgeable recommendation, and non sales personality was a strong factor. After researching about this Daikin Fit all electric unit, we were sold with the product and his reasonable bid.
Installation was 2 days later. He communicated very well during this process. Igor and his teammate showed up on time, worked a very long and hot day, and kept going until the job was completed. Given how tight our attic was, they performed magic to get the unit up there. After an extremely long day, they finished the job and left everything neat and clean.
Not often am I blown away by anyone. Maks is truly the best contractor I had worked with. I love his no nonsense style and he delivered exceptionally well. I would not hesitate recommending Maksbuilder…you wont regret it!

Cyndi, thank you for this — and for doing your homework before making such a big decision. That's exactly the right approach for a full system replacement, and I'm glad the research on the Daikin Fit backed up what I recommended. It's one of the most efficient systems on the market and a perfect match for your Irvine home — you're going to love it long-term. That attic was a challenge, not going to lie — Igor and his teammate earned their day on that one. Really proud of how it came out. Appreciate the kind words more than you know!

They came out same-day when two other technicians said they could only come out the next day. It was 88°F in our home at 6pm and these guys had it solved and cooling within an hour of arrival. The technician was friendly, fast, and took the time to explain what was going on with the system. They really saved us from a very warm evening, we will definitely be working with them in the future for all our HVAC needs!
Details: Repair • Unit won't turn on or off • Only warm air is blowing from the vents • Attic • Roof • Condo or apartment • Owner
Maksbuilder's reply
Thank you so much, Calvin! That kind of situation is exactly why we make same-day AC repair a priority — nobody should be sitting in 88°F heat waiting until the next day for help. We're so glad we could get your system back up and cooling quickly!
Fast response times and clear communication are two things we take seriously at Maksbuilder. Whether it's an emergency air conditioning repair or routine HVAC maintenance, our technicians show up ready to diagnose and solve the problem — not just schedule a follow-up.
We truly appreciate your trust and look forward to being your go-to HVAC contractor in the future. If you ever need heating, cooling, or air quality service in Rancho Mission Viejo, we've got you covered. Thanks again for the kind words, Calvin!

Highly recommended getting HVAC work performed by Maksbuilder. Igor arrived only a few hours after I reached out to them. He diagnosed the issue very quickly and fixed it, no more and no less. At no point did I feel like I was being sold any unnecessary repairs, and he advised on how to fix any existing issue resulting from the initial install (poorly done under previously owners). Will use them again- thank you!
Maksbuilder's reply
Thank you so much, Scott! Igor takes pride in diagnosing efficiently and doing exactly what's needed — nothing more, nothing less. We believe in honest service and would never push unnecessary repairs. Glad he was also able to advise on the pre-existing issues from the prior installation so you have a clear picture going forward. We really appreciate the recommendation and look forward to working with you again!
